Courtney Deignan serves as Development Director for the American Heart Association in Eastern Pennsylvania, where she champions mission-driven initiatives across Northeast PA, the Greater Lehigh Valley, and the Susquehanna Valley. She is dedicated to cultivating strong relationships that support research, education, and lasting change, and her work reflects a deep commitment to creating healthier, more connected communities.
Before entering the nonprofit sector, Courtney spent nearly a decade in manufacturing and supply chain, including three years with the Northeastern Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Center (NEPIRC), a nonprofit supporting small and mid-sized manufacturers. This experience sparked her passion for mission-driven work and inspired her transition to a career dedicated to impact and service.
Courtney holds a degree from Misericordia University and is a lifetime member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. She is an alumna of the Leadership Northeast Amplify Women’s Leadership Program and lends her expertise through former advisory roles with Wilkes University’s School of Business & Engineering, Johnson College’s Hazleton Campus, and the Penn’s Northeast Marketing Steering Committee.
An active volunteer, Courtney supports animal welfare and community service organizations, including Whisker’s World, PA Inclusive, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and the SPCA. She also participates in charitable events ranging from 5K races to food bank distributions.
Courtney resides in Forty Fort with her husband Jay and their two cats, Clem and Chowder. Inspired by her family and community, she remains committed to advancing causes that foster health, connection, and opportunity throughout Pennsylvania.
